Another question we are asked often is: "Why is Netdive giving away its
market leading software products for free when they were already so competitively
priced and just charging for Support?" The answer to this question is that we believe:
- By eliminating, or greatly reducing, the price barrier to adopting our products, a much larger segment of the market will use our products. And to us market share is more important than high prices and profit margins.
- Also as a result over time, a percentage of this larger market that has gotten our products for free and just
paid for Support will purchase enterprise class support or professional services which leads to profitable sales.
Put simply, we know that once a business tries our products and sees for yourself how they surpass any other product on the market, and how they benefit the businesses bottom line, that they will want to adopt our product(s) throughout their organization and as a result purchase more than basic Support from us.
