SiteSticky allows you to broadcast Video to your chat room visitors in
two ways:
- via SiteSticky built-in Video
This is a built-in Video client of SiteSticky which allows you to stream
video to your chat room visitors which videos can be live and are streamed via a simple FTP method.
The advantage of the built-in video client of SiteSticky is that it is in
Java so your chat rooms visitors do not need to download and install
a 3rd party video client and also it does not require the purchase of
a video server since the server can be any simple ftp sever. The
disadvantage of SiteSticky Video is that it is not very high quality video
and also its Video does not have Audio.
- via a 3rd party Video solution
You can also stream video to your SiteSticky chat room visitors via any
3rd party video solution that you like. In this case the Video can be either
pre-recorded or live. You can do this by embedding
the client side of this video in any web page that you want and either
launch this web page on your SiteSticky chat room visitors via the Admin
web page launch feature or via users being able to click on a hyperlink in
SiteSticky chat or Avatar rooms. The advantage of this option is that
you can deliver much higher quality video, the disadvantage is that your
chat room visitors need to have the video client that your video is based
on installed on their PC and you need to have a matching video server
operating on your server.
Please note:
- SiteSticky Video feature is not video chat, but Video presentation.
- Option 1 is not available in SiteSticky Web Service, it is only available in SiteSticky Software.
- We can also integrate under a Professional Services contract a
pay per
minute charging
system with your SiteSticky
video chat so that a viewer will be paying you via credit card a per minute charge, as per
your chosen rate, for each different live video chat room.
