Video presentation - live (or pre-recorded)
1st, a few words about the Video in eAuditorium:
- The strength of eAuditorium is not in Video chat, but it is in the state of art
Application Sharing, Voice conferencing, and many other means for web based
conferencing that it offers.
- The reason is that through years of experience we have found that Video
chat delivers very little value for most users. This is due to the fact that Video takes
too much real estate on a users PC, thus limiting typical meeting to no more than 4 or 6 people,
whereas with Video taken out you can have 100s of people meeting via eAuditorium. And also because
it takes too much bandwidth. So Video chat is lots of expense for little reward.
With the above said, eAuditorium does provide you with 2 means of broadcasting Video to the meeting
attendees. Mind you, this is not Video chat, but it is 1 way Video from the Moderator, Speakers or the Stage
to the people attending a meeting via your eAuditorium.
- eAuditorium built-in Video
This is a built-in Video client of eAuditorium that allows you to stream
live video into an eAuditorium conference room so that all your conference
attendees can simultaneously see the same Video feed.
The advantage of the built-in video client of eAuditorium is that it is in
Java so your meeting attendees do not need to download and install
a 3rd party video client and also it does not require the purchase of
a video server since the server can be any simple ftp sever. The
disadvantage of eAuditorium Video is that it is not very high quality video
and also it does not have Audio.
- Via a 3rd party Video solution
You can also stream live or pre-recorded videos into your eAuditorium conference room via any
3rd party video solution that you like.
You can do this by embedding
the client side of this video into any web page that you want and
launching this web page on your eAuditorium users PC via the Moderator "Web Tour" feature
so that everyone in the meeting simultaneously starts watching the same Video.
The advantage of this option is that
you can deliver much higher quality video, the disadvantage is that your
conference attendees need to have the video client that your video is based
on installed on their PC and you need to have a matching video server
operating on your server.
Please note: The Video feature is not supported under the purchase of Installation Support.
It is only supported under purchase of an Enterprise contract.
