CallSite Agent Application configuration

  Section: III.C

After your Agents have installed the CallSite Agent Application software, the 1st time that they launch it they are presented with the "Log-in Information" panel. At this point your Agents need to enter the log-in information that you as the Admin provided them to connect their CallSite Agent to the CallSite server and thus able to communicate with your Web site visitors as well as with the other Agents. The "Log-in Information" needed to be entered by each Agent to connect their CallSite Application software to the CallSite server are:

  1. Their Username & Password
  2. Your CallSite Server Address
  3. The correct Port numbers

Agent Username & Password:
This is simply the Username & Password of the Agent which the CallSite Administrator generates when creating a new Agent on the CallSite system. Note: Admin does this simply via the Admin User Interace (see section Section: V.C).

Your CallSite Server Address
This is the address to your CallSite server. Your Agents need to enter this address when they login to the CallSite Agent application the 1st time to tell the Agent Application Software where to find the CallSite server. To enter this value the Agent simply needs to click on "Set Preferences" button, then on "Advance Settings", then go to the Tab "Connection" and then enter the value of your CallSite server address that you provide them.
Note: Do not prefix the server host by "http://"- this is not a URL.

The correct Port numbers
These are the Port numbers for the CallSite Agent Application software to communicate with the CallSite server. They are in particular needed to allow for Fire-wall enabled communication as well as Voice over IP communication.
