Installing the CallSite Agent Application

On Windows (x86) systems:
There are two ways to install the CallSite Agent application which can be chosen by the CallSite Admin:

  • Applet-based installation: To use the Applet-based installation of the CallSite Agent Application, the agent has to open his/her web browser to http://your.site.com/callsite/install/install.html.
    The Applet based installation requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 or higher, Firefox/Netscape 4.0 or higher or any version of NetDIVE Oxygen web browser. This is the easiest and the most common method to install the CallSite Agent application.
  • install.exe installation: The agent can install the Agent application by running the install.exe program, located in the install\InstData\Windows\VM directory of the CallSite archive.


On UNIX Solaris (Sparc) systems:
 There are two ways to install CallSite Agent application which can be chosen by the CallSite Admin:

  • Applet based installation: To use the Applet based installation of the CallSite Agent Application, the agent has to open his/her web browser to http://your.site.com/callsite/install/install.html.
    The Applet based installation requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 or higher, Firefox/Netscape 4.0 or higher or any version of NetDIVE Oxygen web browser. This is the easiest and the most common method to install the CallSite Agent application.
  • install.bin installation: The agent can install the Agent application by running the install.bin program, located in the install\InstData\Unix\Solaris directory of the CallSite archive.

On other systems:
An archive of the Agent application called AgentAppli.zip is located in the agent_app directory of the CallSite archive. Unpack the AgentAppli.zip in the directory where you want to install CallSite Agent application.


Running the Agent Application

On Windows systems:
 During the installation, a shortcut has been made in the "Start" menu (CallSite folder). Click on this shortcut to run the Agent application.

On UNIX systems:
 Run the "run.sh" script in the CallSite Agent application directory.

On MacOS :
On MacOS, use the JBindery application found in the Mac OS Runtime for Java SDK folder (http://www.apple.com/java/).
