Communication User Interface

When contact is made between two people who are both online, the Communication window opens up as shown below:

To exchange text messages: Manually type your message into the Message field at the bottom of the window. Then click the 'Send' button.

To change color, font, style and size of text messages: Use the control panel right above the Message field at the bottom of the window. All messages you type will appear in this configuration until you change it.

To ignore messages: In case you want to ignore the messages of the customer with whom you are engaged in a CallSite chat, click on the "Ignore" button. You will no longer receive the messages sent to you by him/her. In case you want to receive messages from the customer again, click on the "Ignore" button once more and then you will be able to exchange messages with the him/her again.

To send a message in Secure Mode: Click the 'Secure' button at the top of the Private Chat window. All messages you send and receive will be encrypted until you unselect the 'Secure' button.

To send a notification sound: Click the 'Beep' button at the top of the private chat window. A brief beeping sound will be sent to the other user.

To close theCommunication window: Click the 'Close' button located at the top of the Communication window.

To send messages using different colors, fonts and sizes: You can send messages using different colors. To do so, choose the color in which you want your message to appear from the color pallette which appears below the chat area. To change the Font of your message, you can choose a font from the drop-down menu that appears below the chat area. You can also set your message to appear in bold letters by clicking on the 'B', in Italics, by clicking on the 'I' or underline your messages by clicking on 'U'. The size of your message can be changed by selecting a size from the drop-down menu that appears to the right hand side of 'U'.

To save CallSite chat sessions: To save a CallSite chat session, click the 'Save' button on the Communication toolbar. The 'Save chat' browser window will open.

Locate the directory where you want to save your chat session and click 'Save'.

To Copy & Paste Text from a CallSite session: To copy text from a current chat session, click the 'Copy' button. All of the text on the present screen will be copied to the clipboard.

To paste, open the program (such as Notepad, Word, etc.) where you want to paste the text and click 'Control-V'.

To see the time: While you are engaged in a private chat via CallSite, you can keep a check of the time for how long you were engaged in the CallSite chat session with your customer with the help of the clock that appears below the 'Save' button.
